    Sources and Licenses

    Last Updated: October 11, 2026

The map is built only from open data published by scientific and public bodies. For each phenomenon we cross-check several sources: a volcano is shown as erupting when at least one official source confirms it, and the interface says which ones. The site's texts are written by us from these data; no text from another source is copied as is.

Update frequency: earthquakes every 5 minutes (directly from USGS and EMSC), volcanoes, cyclones, fires and auroras every hour, reference data with each new site release.
